Valentine is a graduate of the MFA program at Mills College, and she is currently an executive editor at&nbsp;</em><a href="https://www.callistomedia.com/"><em>Callisto Media</em></a><em>. Her memoir&nbsp;</em><a href="https://www.feministpress.org/books-n-z/the-names-of-all-the-flowers">The Names of All the Flowers</a>,&nbsp;<em>published by The Feminist Press, was the 2019 winner of the&nbsp;</em><a href="https://www.feministpress.org/winnermelissavalentine"><em>Louise Meriwether First Book Prize</em></a><em>.
